Flu Clinics

With so many places around town offering flu shots, it is important to know the differences among the vaccines. At the Visiting Nurse & Hospice of the Southwest Region (VNAHSR) flu clinics, you are offered a CHOICE of vaccines:  Quadrivalent or High Dose.  At every VNAHSR flu clinic, highly-trained registered nurses take the time you need to give you a one-on-one education about which type of vaccine is best for YOU.

Who should get a flu shot at a VNAHSR clinic?

  • All adults age 18 years and older.
  • Adults with chronic health conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease or asthma.
  • Adults with weakened immune system.
  • Adults who live with, or provide care for, children and adults.
  • Women who will be pregnant during the flu season.

For more information call the Flu Hotline at 802.770.1574 or call our office at 802.775.0568.

Pneumonia Immunization Clinics

Both Pneumovax 23 and Prevnar 13 are available at our clinics. The timing of doses is necessary for optimum immunization. Our registered nurses will help you determine the correct sequence. To receive your Pneumonia shot through VNAHSR, please call Cathleen at 802.770.1536 to schedule an appointment.

Who should get a pneumonia vaccine at a VNAHSR clinic?

  • All adults age 65 and older who have not had a pneumonia shot.
  • Adults age 65 and older who received a pneumonia vaccine before their 60th birthday.
  • Adults age 18 and older with a history of chronic health conditions.
  • Adults age 18 and older who smoke.
  • Adults with weakened immune system.

How are the vaccination fees covered?

We accept most Insurances, cash, check, Mastercard, Visa, American Express and health debit cards. We cannot accept Cigna.

What if I cannot make one of the scheduled clinics?

Individual appointments are available by calling Cathleen Paulin, RN, Community and Occupational Health Manager at 802.770.1536 or via email.
