Hospice Singers

RAVNAH’s Hospice Chorus – “Trillium” is a group of volunteer singers who offer their harmonious voices to individuals with a life-limiting illness, as well as their families.

Group members share their love of music with hospice patients and other community members in private homes, nursing homes, hospital rooms and at memorial services. Singers visit patients in small groups of 3-8 singers, singing a cappella in 3 or 4 part harmony, or in rounds.

From spirituals to hymns to folk songs to old standards, Trillium singers touch the hearts of patients and families in immeasurable ways. Their presence tells people that they are not alone at the end of life, and that they are still a part of the community.

Music can open hearts, quiet fears and provide a sacred space – one of reverence for the patient and their family. Trillium helps ease the passage between life and death.

Trillium offers a choice of music according to the patient’s musical preference and physical and spiritual needs.

Thank you for your unflagging support and kind condolences during the weeks while we cared for our Mother and mourned the difficult and final stages of her life. The singers were beautiful and a special gift that mom enjoyed as did we.

Daughter of a hospice patient

Thank you for giving your time and talents to sing for us at Mother’s memorial. Your ministry to Mother and our family will never be forgotten. I can’t imagine remembering Mother without having you there to sing. The music was beautiful and so many commented and enjoyed it.
